Ceremony & Venue Information

Two commencement ceremonies will be held in Spring 2017. No tickets are required for either ceremony and there is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may bring. All commencement events will be fully accessible. Friday, May 12, 5:30 p.m., Kohl Center

Ceremony for Doctoral & Medical Professional Candidates

Doors open 2 hours before the start of the ceremony.  The ceremony is expected to last approximately 2 and a half hours. Candidates will cross the stage, have their name read, and receive their diploma cover. The Kohl Center ceremony will include the following degree programs:

Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Musical Arts, Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Audiology, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Master of Fine Arts, Master of Genetic Counselor Studies, Master of Physician Assistant Studies, and Master of Public Health.

Saturday, May 13, Noon, Camp Randall Stadium

Ceremony for Bachelor’s, Master’s and Law Degree Candidates

Doors open 2 hours before the start of the ceremony. The ceremony is expected to last approximately 75 minutes and will include the following degree programs:

Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Social Work, Doctor of Juridical Science, Juris Doctor, Master of Accountancy, Master of Arts, Master of Business Administration, Master of Engineering, Master of International Public Affairs, Master of Laws, Master of Laws—Legal Institutions, Master of Music, Master of Professional French Studies, Master of Public Affairs, Master of Science and Master of Social Work

The official degree conferral date for all Spring 2017 graduates will be May 13, 2017.
