Class of 2024 Gift
The Institute for Diversity Science (IDS) and its affiliated researchers conduct basic, applied, and translational research on the causes of group-based discrimination and effective ways to eliminate them. It provides an intellectual hub and collaborative research infrastructure for diversity scientists from all colleges and schools of the University of Wisconsin–Madison. The Institute is focused on finding actionable evidence about what works to create environments where everyone can flourish, regardless of their background.

Senior Class Officers
The senior class officers comprise two elected officers, the president and vice president, and five selected positions, communications, diversity, equity and inclusion, engagement, events, and philanthropy. Elections and interviews took place in the spring semester prior to the beginning of their service in the fall of their senior year. Part of Student Life, the officers also partner with the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) and the Office of the Chancellor. The senior class officers plan winter and spring commencement as well as senior social events and senior week events in cooperation with WFAA.
Gracie Nelson, President
From Seattle, Gracie swapped her raincoat for a puffer jacket, embracing a shift in attire as she pursued dual majors in Political Science and Gender & Women’s Studies within the honors college. Her campus journey has been filled with leadership, including roles in Student Government and chairing the Dean of Students Advisory Board. Professionally, Gracie has worked on Governor Evers’ reelection campaign and for the Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., with future aspirations of becoming a lawyer. As Senior Class President, Gracie aimed for a celebratory year, honoring peers’ achievements while amplifying the diverse voices of this graduating class.
Megan Keefe, Vice President
Megan, a Minnesota native, chose UW–Madison to study Neurobiology. On campus, Megan sought to make a lasting impact by serving on the Chancellor’s Advisory Board for Drugs and Alcohol and working to enhance student mental health resources at UHS. She also dedicated time towards excelling as a published student researcher and an All-Big Ten Student Athlete. Megan has been instrumental in expanding healthcare access for the greater Madison community, solidifying her ambitions to become a future clinician. In her role as Vice President, she dedicated herself to celebrate all voices and identities on campus, nurturing inclusivity among 2024 graduates.
Lynda Huang, Communications Director
From Green Bay to Madison, WI, Lynda brought her love for football from Lambeau Field to Camp Randall. As a first generation student majoring in Neurobiology and Psychology, Lynda stays active on campus as a co-founder of the Undergraduate Chemistry Student Association. Her involvement with the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation has helped close gaps in science education in local communities. Lynda has served as a mentor to underrepresented students within the Center for Academic Excellence. After graduation, Lynda plans to attend medical school to pursue her goals of breaking down barriers in healthcare, and making advancements in patient care.
Ciboney Reglos, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Director
Hailing from Minneapolis, MN, Ciboney decided to pursue her passions at UW–Madison, where she majors in Global Health with certificates in Health Policy and Leadership. You can find her involved in a variety of campus activities: serving as a Filipinx American Student Organization (FASO) executive board member, working as an intern in the Office of Inclusion Education, co-leading a health project for Public Humanities Exchange for Undergraduates (HEX-U), and more. In the future, Ciboney is excited to pursue a Master of Public Health program, where she hopes to improve health outcomes and health inequities for marginalized communities.
Ndemazea Fonkem, Engagement Director
As the daughter of a UW Oshkosh professor, Ndemazea caused a family feud when she decided to become a Badger! As a double major in Geography and Landscape & Urban Studies, Ndemazea has spent her time on campus organizing for a more equitable and inclusive community. She is a 2023 Wisconsin Idea Fellow, working toward diversifying the products offered in Madison’s emergency food system. A studious Virgo sun, Ndemazea has actively participated in Wisconsin Undergraduate Planning Association, fostering community within her department, and formerly chaired the Associated Students of Madison, showcasing her commitment to campus leadership and involvement.
Anjali Subramanian, Events Director
After moving around her whole life, Anjali settled down at UW–Madison for four years to major in International Studies and Global Health with a French certificate. Driven by her commitment to ensuring an inclusive experience for all, she worked for numerous political offices around Madison and served two terms as the Equity and Inclusion Chair for the Associated Students of Madison. Through her role as Events Director, Anjali designed accessible and fun events for all students that created everlasting memories and she is excited to bring these skills and experience to her upcoming career with Parker Aerospace.
Kenny Larmie, Philanthropy Director
From Stillwater, Minnesota, Kenny relinquished his Golden Gopher garments for a more robust red and white attire — pursuing a dream of attending medical school. On campus, Kenny has found a home in various student organizations, including extensive research in a lab studying the genomic landscape of schizophrenia disorder. His dedications have likewise exceeded in the classroom, fostering a 3-year fundraising initiative titled “Project PLAT”— a clothing fundraiser purposed to support minority–rich elementary schools in the Madison area. As Philanthropy Director, Kenny aspired to make a lasting impact amongst 2024 graduates, simultaneously nurturing the beloved campus and community we call home.
