Spring 2020 PhD, DMA, MFA and Medical Professional Degree Candidates will have their photo taken as they cross the stage to receive their diploma cover, and a solo portrait after they exit the stage. Photo stations at Gates A and B will be available before and after the ceremony for graduate portraits with friends and family.
Spring 2020 Law, Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree Candidates will have an opportunity to have their photo taken on the field at Camp Randall Stadium at photo stations that will be set up around the field. Diploma cover props will be provided. Stations will be open 2 hours prior to the start of the ceremony, and again after the ceremony has concluded.
UW–Madison is proud to continue to work with Empire Photography, a locally owned small business established in 1983 by UW–Madison alumni Mark and Maggie Smith.
Empire Photography has been photographing our commencement ceremonies for many years. Each graduate is photographed as they receive their diploma and a solo portrait is also taken after they exit the stage. Proofs will be sent to graduates and their families within 48 hours of the ceremony. You can pre-register your email address so you can receive your complimentary proofs quickly. Your commencement is a once-in-a-lifetime moment so don’t miss out! If you have any questions, please email Empire Photography at email@example.com.
Cap and gown portrait sessions will be provided by Empire Photography at Memorial Union before winter and spring commencements. Please check the Today in the Union (TITU) calendar of events for the room location.
