Sarah Schutt

Sarah Schutt is the chief alumni engagement officer for the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association (WFAA) and executive director of the Wisconsin Alumni Association (WAA). Most of her 33-year career in higher education has been at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

As chief alumni engagement officer, Schutt leads strategy to build affinity, pride, and community among the global community of more than half a million UW–Madison alumni. After beginning her professional career in residence life at Marquette University and later serving in roles at UW–Madison and UW–Whitewater, Schutt joined the Wisconsin Alumni Association in 2001 as the inaugural director of the alumni lifelong learning program, a shared role with UW’s Division of Continuing Studies. In 2010, she moved fully to WAA and has been engaging alumni and friends and spreading Badger pride and spirit ever since.

Schutt holds a bachelor’s degree in Japanese language and history from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in counseling and student development from the University of Minnesota, Mankato.
