Commencement Regalia Scholarship
Are you graduating this semester and need help covering the cost of your cap and gown rental? The Regalia Scholarship is now available to eligible students through the Wisconsin Scholarship Hub (WiSH).
Who can apply?
Graduating students with financial need—including undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, law, and medical professional students—are encouraged to apply.
If you are attending Winter 2026 Commencement, please do not apply for the Spring Regalia Scholarship. There will be a Winter Regalia Scholarship application cycle next semester.
Eligibility
Eligibility is based on your 2025–26 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). If you haven’t completed it yet, visit fafsa.gov or UW–Madison’s financial aid guide for help.
How to apply
- Login to WiSH and complete your General Application.
- If you are eligible for the scholarship, it will appear on your WiSH dashboard or in your Recommended Opportunities section.
- If you don’t see the scholarship, you may not meet the eligibility criteria.
Important dates
- Application deadline: Monday, March 30 at 11:59 p.m.
- Notification date: All applicants will be notified before the University Book Store’s Early Badger rental deadline on Friday, April 3.
